ABOUT ME

Growing up, I spent countless hours in front of the television, fully enthralled with whatever show or movie I watched. When I wasn’t in front of a screen, you could often find me creating my own world with nothing but a blank sketchbook page, a pencil and an an endless plethora of markers and crayons that captured the vibrant hue of a rainbow. And that’s where it started: my love for the art of storytelling. Prior to becoming a news and entertainment editor at PureWow, I’ve reported a number of online publications, including Showbiz Cheat Sheet, The Things, Review Fix and Nicki Swift. 

When I’m not writing, I can be found trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, reading a swoon-worthy rom-com novel or watching a marathon of Friends. I am currently available to write commissions on pop culture and lifestyle; reach out at karellemckay@gmail.com.
